HOBBIT Open Challenges: A New Era II

Continuing from our latest blogpost on Open Challenges, we look into the two remaining Open Challenges organized by the HOBBIT project; there we looked at the OKE and MOCHA open challenges, while here we will dig into  the SQA and StreaML open challenges.

The SQA open challenge started in December 2017 and is currently in the dry-run phase where small size datasets are offered to help participants build their systems. The real part of the challenge starts by entering the training phase in February 2018, when participating systems will be weekly evaluated and results will be published at the challenge’s leaderboard. The first cutoff period of the challenge is the beginning of May 2018. There is still plenty of time to join and win! Do not forget to register using the Express your Interest button, to receive updates on the SQA challenge.

The StreaML open challenge also started in December 2017 and is currently in the dry-run phase. The real part of the challenge starts by entering the training phase in February 2018, when participating systems will be periodically evaluated with increasing rates of input load and results will be published at the challenge’s leaderboards. The first cutoff period of the challenge is the beginning of May 2018. There is still plenty of time to join and win! Feel free to ask any questions regarding the StreaML challenge in the challenge’s Google Group.

The HOBBIT Open Challenges ensure continuous participation and systems evaluation. In HOBBIT Open Challenges participants can conveniently develop their system, upload it on the HOBBIT platform and join the challenge at any time, as there are no deadlines! Winners will be announced at predefined, periodic cutoff dates and will receive monetary prizes.
